CLEVELAND -- A new proposal that bans texting while driving in Cleveland passed in the city council meeting Monday night.Texting is one inexpensive way to talk to friends and family.Councilman Zack Reed's proposal to get rid of text messaging while driving passed overwhelmingly during last night's meeting..Officials hope the ban will prevent accidents. So far, there are no limits on using a cellphone while you're driving in ohio..Police aren't sure exactly how they'll be enforcing the new law, but be on the lookout because they will be watching for fast fingers. The fines for texting behind the wheel are $100 dollars for the first offense, $200 for the second, and up to $500 for breaking the law three or more times.

bush looks a little cute
This is a joke! Similar to stop light cameras, this is another ploy by the City of Cleveland to generate revenue to fund their mishaps. There is people selling crack on the street corners, murders, prostitution and Cleveland is focusing police efforts on text messaging, what a joke! Has text messaging ever killed anyone? I’d like to see the stats.
