Depending on which national NFL media or Internet site you follow, Marvin Lewis is either on the coaching hot seat or has the most secure job in the league. Lewis' job status came up at his regular news conference Monday, the day after the Bengals fell to 0-5 with a loss at Dallas. Lewis' Bengals are 7-14 in their last 21 games. Lewis is under contract through 2010 after receiving a contract extension in February 2006. He said he's committed to turning things around in Cincinnati.

Salty's Thoughts: How can he NOT be on the hot seat? 0-5 and 7-14 in your last 21 games? Reminds me of Chris Palmer. Oh wait, Palmer didn't win that much.
