Some thoughts

Hearing that Tom Cable will be fired soon from Oakland.

Browns should be announcing a new GM today.

Josh Cribbs still posting stuff about money on his Twitter page.

D'Qwell Jackson thinks Cribbs should be paid more.

Chad Johnson loves bitching that his team lost, but, where was he? Talk about the Invisible Man.

Seeing Ed Reed pick that ball off yesterday reminded me that he should be a Cleveland Brown. I remember watching that draft, and he and Willie Green were on the board. Rumor had it we stayed away from Reed because of 'off the field issues', then Willie Green went off and got stabbed because he was shady. Good call, Browns management. Good call.

Pete Carroll left USC because he knew the gig was up. It's amazing to me how a coach can be a 'winner' while breaking so many rules, and then just jump ship to another college or even the NFL. Shady, and a real shame.

No chance Texas loses if Colt McCoy doesn't get hurt.

Going to go out on a limb here...Willie Parker will be a Cleveland Brown next year.

Yeah, Pete Carroll was involved in a lot of shadiness at USC.

He was like Paulie in GoodFellas when they guy with the restaurant goes to him for protection, then Pailie's crew squeezes every last dime out of the establishment before torching it to recoup the insurance money.

Carroll took a ride on the coattails of some great talent, took advantage of the fact that LA does not have an NFL team, got paid big bucks for his coaching and celebrity status, was on the receiving end of numerous gifts from outsiders, violated some NCAA rules (still under investigation, I'm sure), broke some criminal AND moral laws (also under investigation by local authorities and media), and when the heat was on (ironically as USC slips out of the Top 25) he jumps ship.

I wouldn't be surprised if USC gets put on probation sometime over the next 1-2 years because of things that happened under his tutelage.

Well said. I do think USC will be on a downswing and will lose some scholarships.
